The UK is set to reverse plans to reduce its stockpile of nuclear weapons by the middle of the decade, as part of a foreign policy overhaul.

The overall cap on the number of warheads will now increase to 260, having been due to drop to 180 under previous plans from 2010.

The UK will shift focus towards Indo-Pacific countries, described as the world’s "growth engine".

The news comes as Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab was heard saying the government will seek trade deals with countries that violate international standards on human rights, a leaked tape seen by HuffPost reveals.

The integrated review was more than four years in the making, so what’s the plan for Global Britain?

Newsnight’s Diplomatic Editor Mark Urban reports. Emily Maitlis is joined by Foreign Officer minister James Cleverly, former International Development Secretary, Rory Stewart, former Under Secretary of Defense for Policy under President Obama, Michele Flournoy, and Professor of Global History at Oxford University, Peter Frankopan.
