Whole of Ukraine under air alert as Russian attacks intensify | BBC News

In the second large scale attack in 48 hours, the whole of Ukraine was under an air alert at one stage of Russia’s latest attack on the country.

Russian attacks were launched from the Black Sea as well as strategic points in Russia, while the Kremlin says it shot down almost 100 Ukrainian drones aimed at central and southern areas of Russia, as well as Moscow.

Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of "trying to buy time" to continue the war despite US President Donald Trump saying Putin was willing to work towards a ceasefire deal.
