South Africa’s governing party, African National Congress (ANC), are set to decide President Cyril Ramaphosa’s future in the wake of a murky scandal.
A report from a panel of legal experts recently accused Ramaphosa of covering up the theft of $4m (£3.3m) in cash from his farm in 2020.
The president has denied the accusations and his most ardent supporters are calling for him to clear his name.
Now many South Africans are concerned about the country’s political future, with no single, credible party ready to take over from the ANC.
