‘Will the UK government protect our children from social media addiction?’ | BBC News


Jurors is Los Angeles have found that Meta and Google intentionally built addictive social media platforms that harmed a young woman’s mental health.

Meanwhile the UK government has launched a public consultation on whether to ban social media for under-16.

Following the unprecedented LA court case, a Question Time audience member asked: "Will the government protect children from social media addiction?”, featuring TV personality and businessman Tom Skinner, Labour MP Jake Richards and Lib Dem MP Layla Moran.
