The world’s first 3D-printed rocket made it off the launch pad on Wednesday night, but failed to reach orbit.
In a test flight by a California-based aerospace start-up Relativity Space, Terran 1 lifted off from Florida’s Cape Canaveral.
But several minutes into the flights, mission controllers reported that the rocket experienced what they said was “an anomaly”.
There was nothing on board except for the company’s first model 3D print made six years ago.
