Young Iranian couple sentenced to 10 years in jail for dance near Tehran’s Freedom Tower – BBC News


A young couple have reportedly been sentenced to 10 years in jail for dancing near Tehran’s Freedom Tower.

The man and woman in their early twenties have reportedly been convicted of ‘promoting corruption and prostitution, colluding against national security, and propaganda against the establishment’.

Iranian authorities are continuing to crack down on anti-government protests across the country.
