A "spineless, deeply violent" man who murdered and sexually assaulted a woman as she walked home from a night out in London has been jailed for a minimum of 38 years in a televised sentencing in the UK.
35-year-old law graduate Zara Aleena was killed by 29-year-old Jordan McSweeney.
McSweeney had only recently been released from prison prior to the attack last June and refused to enter the courtroom for the sentencing.
The judge’s sentencing remarks were broadcast on TV in the UK.
