Iran has denied providing Russia with drones to use in Ukraine.
The US and Western allies believe the "kamikaze" drones, which killed at least four people in an air strike in Kyiv on Monday, are Iranian-supplied and violate current UN sanctions.
"We have not provided weaponry to any side of the countries at war”, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said.
In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for more arms and supplies from allies in the West.
The US agrees with the French and British assessment that the drones violate UN Security Council Resolution 2231, the US State Department has said.
