Around 10 million people are estimated to be without power after a bombardment of attacks by Russia on energy infrastructure across Ukraine, says President Volodymyr Zelensky.
It comes as the first snowfall of the year hit Ukraine, adding to already mounting concerns of a tough winter ahead for Ukrainian citizens.
Drinking water supplies in some areas of the country are also understood to be affected with Russian artillery hitting gas fields, industrial areas and residential buildings.
