Pakistan starts to arrest Afghanistan refugees – BBC News

Pakistan has started to arrest Afghans as the country begins a nationwide crackdown on foreign nationals it says are in the country illegally.

Thousands of Afghans in Pakistan have made their way back to Afghanistan in the last two months.

The Pakistan government said it was following its own rules.

But human rights groups like Amnesty international have criticised the deportation policy, saying it could put some vulnerable groups in “grave danger” if they returned.
