Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky says the world will ‘definitely overcome’ Putin – BBC News

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has addressed the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

President Zelensky appeared via video link, and spoke about the loss of life in Ukraine since Russia’s invasion, specifically mentioning Saturday’s missile strike in Dnipro .

The Ukrainian president also said that three years ago the world was fighting Covid-19 and won, and now the world is fighting against Putin.

"History repeats itself. The world either fails to notice or underestimates a threat, then it unites to resist it and then the world wins, every time," he said.

President Zelensky thanked countries for their help since the conflict began, but added that Ukraine still needs help to fight against Russia.
